Letinula Edodes

This mushroom is well known in China and Japan from thousand years both as food and a medicine.

Oral ingestion of whole mushroom extracts has shown to modulate certain immune functions. b-glucans lose much of their anti-tumour activity with decreasing molecular weight, so their digestion would account for their lack of oral activity.  Support immune functions in cancer patient during radio- and chemotherapy and can prolong survival times in some types of cancer.

Has anti-tumor effect, immunomodulatory effect, anti-bacterial activity and anti-parasitic infections, has strong inhibitory effects against Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia coli, anti-viral activity, hypolipidemic, lowering the cholesterol.

Flos Chrysanthemi
